Abstract

Handball differs in its nature as a team game from many other team games in terms of its speed of rhythm and the mutual dynamic succession between defense operations and the continuous attack without stopping throughout the time of the match, therefore, handball players must master both offensive and defensive skills, they must, during the implementation of the various defensive plans, prepare to perform their offensive duties and implement the offensive plans as soon as the attack of the opposing team ends positively by scoring a goal or passively by cutting the ball or failing to score. The statistical analysis allows to understand the relationships between influencing factors that could lead to victory, and to develop a better visualization of the results and requirements of the match. (113: 17). The method of match analysis is the process of evaluating the basic individual and collective abilities of the team and helps the coach to intervene and make the appropriate change by understanding the advantages and disadvantages and thus changing the game plan in line with the course of the match. (99: 284). Hatzimanouil Dimitris (2019) points out that the beneficiaries in handball (the association, coaches, players, etc.) need scientific assistance to increase the team's performance to some extent through the overall followup of the tournaments, as the comprehensive analysis of the sports season contributes to assess the failure or success of the players and the team as a whole. (83:13). Through the student's follow-up of the matches of the Libyan Al-Ittihad team in the Arab Championship in Tunisia (2018), the student noticed that there is a fluctuation in the level of offensive formations used in general and the Fastbreak in particular, which negatively affected the number of goals scored by the team compared to other teams.
