Elnesr, Nuria Elbahri; Gammo, Rania A.
Eclampsia is a major cause of maternal and neonatal morbidity in low- and middle-income countries. This study aimed at assessing the faetomaternal , perinatal and neonatal outcome in patients with eclampsia in order to get reasonable data that help in reducing the incidence and improving the outcome of pregnancy.
The retrospective study included 250 patients diagnosed with eclampsia in Zawia hospital ,Subrata hospital ,Surman hospital in the period between January 2010 and December 2017. The study analyzed the data obtained from medical records of those patients including patients’ characteristics, medical, obstetric, current pregnancy history, data on hospital admission, treatment given at hospital, and maternal and perinatal outcome. Statistical analysis was done using SPSS version21
The study was done on 250 women who diagnosed with eclampsia. Four women died (case fatality rate 1.6%). The main risk factors that were identified : younger age , primigravida. The most common complication was HELP syndrome(15.6%). Magnesium sulphate therapy was given to all patients. 73 cases were delivered vaginally (29.2%). Cesarean section was done in 177 cases (70.8%) . Perinatal deaths occurred in 11.9 % of the cases. Prematurity and poor neonatal services were the main cause. Improving antenatal and emergency obstetric and neonatal care are mandatory to improve the outcome.

Kidney Failure and Kidney dialysis Causes and Complications for Patients in Az Zawia Kidney Center
Ejdedhum, Souhir I.; Abdelmoula, Wafa A.; Abdelhameed, Taher M.
The kidney failure could be caused by many reasons, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, polycystic kidneys, and excessive use of some drugs leading to kidney transplantation or kidney dialysis. Dialysis is an instrument filters the blood from metabolic wastes, excess of minerals, drugs and any unwanted substances. Hemodialysis is the common kind of dialysis used in Az Zawia Kidney Center.
The aim of this study is to investigate the causes and complications associated with kidney failure and kidney dialysis.
This study analysis the data obtained from patients at Az Zawia Kidney Center. The results showed that men and women are equally susceptible to kidney failure, but women might be affected at a younger age. The chronic disease such as diabetes and hypertension increase the risk of having kidney failure. Some patients might suffer from some effects such as vomiting and nausea during hemodialysis sessions. Women might experience some complications in their menstrual cycle such as being irregular or taking long time or accompanied with pain. Pregnancy during hemodialysis could be risky and might end with apportion. Regulating water consumption and suitable food intake is important to avoid unnecessary complication.

Study of The Effect of Fenugreek Seeds on The Folliculogenesis in Super-Ovulated Female Rats
Elfituri, Zinab Y. K.; Allow, Ahmad K.; Omran, Entesar A. A.
The increase of the incidence of usage of ovulation induction and assisted reproductive technology (AST) for treatment of the anovulation disorders, causes increase of multiple pregnancy and ovarian hyper-stimulation syndrome as two main complications. These two complications are caused by hyper-stimulation of ovaries. Trigonella foenum-graecum (fenugreek) is an herbal plant that has been studied for its anti-fertility activity. The aim of this research was to study the effect of fenugreek seed aqueous extract (FAE) on the folliculogenesis in super-ovulated female rats by quantifying the ovarian follicles; antral (mature follicle) and atretic follicles. Twenty-four 7-8 week-age cyclic Sprague Dawley female rats were divided into three groups (A, B and C). Group A considered as control group, the female rats in group B and C treated with fenugreek seed aqueous extract 500mg/kg and 1000mg/kg respectively. The extract was administering orally into rats in treated groups for 14 days. Vaginl smears were taken and examined daily to determine the different phases of estrous cycle. During diestrus phase of estrous cycle, the female rats in the three groups were treated with subcutaneous injection of decreasing doses of recombinant human FSH (rhFSH) to induce the superovulation. In next day (proestrus phase), the rats were sacrefied and both ovaries of each rat were removed for histological examination. Administering of 500 and 1000mg/kg body weight of the extract caused significant reduction in the number of antral follicles (p-value < 0.005), while the number of atretic follicles was increased significantly (p-value < 0.005) in both treated groups compared to control group. Moreover, the atretic follicles’ number was significantly (p-value = 0.01) higher in group C (treated with 1000mg/kg of FAE) compared to group B (treated with 500mg/kg of FAE). As an outcome of this study, FAE showed an effect on the fluculogenesis by reducing the number antral follicles and increasing the atretic follicles’ number.
